Finally got around to basing my Imperial Fists and snapped a quick photo to prove it. They are part of the mutli-chapter army that I am putting together for this years Game's Day and that will eventually get passed down to the little guy (once he is old enough to not put things in his mouth).

It was funny how my opinion of the Imperial Fists changed between my first test unit and the scouts. Some slight changes in technique made all the difference between a loathsome chore and a fairly quick and easy process. Even something as simple as doing the initial primer coat in brown instead of black can make a world of difference.

I'm also finding that when I am painting for someone else (in this case, for posterity, I suppose), I tend to do a better job. "Good enough" tends to be my motto when I paint for myself, as opposed to "How good can I make this".
